Ananya Bose

“I am Ananya, once a seeker of truth in legal alleys and courtrooms, now a wanderer in the world of art. For years, I wrestled with a quiet longing, a voice that whispered of colours, textures, and stories waiting to be told. In 2019, I listened, and Mrida was born, an ode to the artist within, a sanctuary of tools for those who dream with their hands. I am the artist and creator behind all the treasures Mrida’s Bindery offers.

But the journey didn’t pause there.
Alongside Mrida bloomed Sūtkathā, a story of sustainable threads woven with my childhood friend, Anurag, a bond stitched in sketchbooks and shared silences since the days when crayons felt like magic.

Art has always lived in me, sometimes loud, sometimes hushed, and now it breathes through every stroke of Mrida and every stitch of Sūtkathā. They are not just ventures; they are pieces of the life I always dreamt of. This is my story, not told, but lived.”

Anurag Dasgupta

“Sūtkathā was born out of a lifelong love for art — a passion that’s been woven into my story since childhood. After spending nearly eight years in the IT industry, I felt an unshakable pull to return to my creative roots. Quitting the corporate life wasn’t just a bold move; it was a breath of fresh air, a moment of rediscovery. Sūtkathā became that space where I could finally blend creativity with purpose, turning ideas into designs and emotions into fabric.

This journey wouldn’t have been complete without Ananya — my school buddy and fellow artist. We first connected over art class doodles and shared notebooks, and that connection only deepened over the years. Together, we built Sūtkathā as more than just a clothing brand — it’s a canvas of stories, a celebration of handmade beauty, and a tribute to the art that brought us together in the first place.”
